With the engine warmed up, turn the idle screw (T) counter-clockwise until the chain stops, then turn it an additional half-turn. Verify that the engine transitions smoothly from idle to full speed during acceleration.

Turn the L and H adjustment screws counter-clockwise to stop. Warm up the engine, then turn the idle screw (T) counter-clockwise until the cutting tool stops moving. Turn it a further half-turn counter-clockwise and verify that the engine accelerates smoothly from idle.
