How does the HDR (High Dynamic Range) feature work on the device and how is it accessed?

The HDR feature expands the dynamic range, capturing images with correct brightness from the brightest to the darkest parts by recording one image with optimal exposure and a composite image. It is accessed via MENU(Shooting Settings)[D-Range Opt./HDR Auto][HDR auto]. The difference in exposure can be adjusted between 1.0EV and 6.0EV.

What are the limitations when using the HDR (High Dynamic Range) feature?

The HDR feature is not available for RAW images and cannot be selected in modes like Smart Auto, Superior Auto, Sweep Panorama, or Scene Selection. It is also not compatible with Photo Effect. The next image cannot be shot until the previous one has finished processing. If the scene contrast is too low, or if there is camera shake or subject blur, the effect may not be optimal; a warning icon will appear on the saved image if an issue was detected.
