How to model soil-structure interaction (ISS) and absorbent boundaries in the simulation?
Soil-structure interaction can be represented using foundation impedances. For modeling localized behaviors or damping effects at boundaries, use discrete elements such as DIS_T or DIS_TR. When modeling added masses with these elements, a specific damping matrix must be assigned to them within the element characteristics (AFFE_CARA_ELEM).
