Why does a red frame and red dot appear on the screen and recording starts when triggering a photo in IA mode?
In Intelligent Auto (IA) mode, the camera automatically optimizes settings. A red frame and dot indicate the 4K Photo function is likely activated. To take a still photo, deactivate the 4K Photo function.

How to disable 4K Photo mode if a red frame persists in M mode, even after a reset?
The red frame indicates that the device may still be in 4K recording mode. After selecting 'Simple' mode, ensure the setting is validated by pressing the [MENU/SET] button. If the red frame persists, check that the device is not in a specific scene mode forcing 4K recording, that [Prév.auto] is not activated, and that [PHOTO 4K] is disabled in the [Enr.] menu. Also, check the cursor key settings to see if one of the directions is linked to the 4K Photo mode. Also, try creating a new custom profile to see if the problem persists.

How to disable 4K mode when the option is absent from the [Enr.] menu?
If a direct disable option for 4K mode is not found in the [Enr.] menu, it may be linked to a specific mode setting. Check if Intelligent Auto mode or Intelligent Auto Plus is activated, as these may force the use of the 4K Photo function. Also, check the [Personal] menu and [Fn Button Setting] to see if a function key has been configured to quickly enable/disable 4K Photo mode. Finally, ensure the drive mode isn't set to a default 4K burst option.

How to take burst photos?
To take burst photos, you can use the standard burst mode or the 4K Photo function. In drive mode, hold the shutter button to record photos successively. To cancel, select "Single" in drive mode settings. Or, use the 4K Photo function to capture bursts at approximately 8 million pixels at 30 frames per second. After recording, you can select and save individual images. A UHS Speed Class 3 card is recommended. To activate 4K Photo, press the dedicated key and choose a recording method: "4K Burst," "4K Burst (S/S)," or "4K Pre-Burst." Press the shutter button to start recording.
